Each year, March 8th marks an important moment: International Women's Day. A day to remember, celebrate, and pass on. A day also to pay tribute to those who paved the way and to those who continue to inspire.

At Simone à Bordeaux, this date resonates particularly strongly. Because behind this name lies a deeply human story, born from a struggle, a reading, and a conviction: women have always been an inexhaustible source of courage, elegance, and resilience.

A brand born from a journey of resilience

The story of Simone à Bordeaux begins with Agnès Tardy, its founder.
In 2018, while going through a personal ordeal marked by illness, she found refuge in creation and a way to transform difficulty into positive energy. During her treatments, she began to create colorful jewelry, simply to occupy her hands and soothe her mind. Very quickly, these creations resonated with her entourage and then with a wider community.

This period of her life became the starting point of an entrepreneurial adventure. An adventure guided by the idea that even in the most difficult times, it is possible to bring something luminous to life.

Simone à Bordeaux thus became much more than a brand: a story of resilience, transmission, and joy.

Why "Simone"?

The brand's name was not chosen by chance.

During her fight against illness, Agnès discovered Simone Veil's autobiography Une vie. This story of courage and determination deeply moved her.

A Holocaust survivor, a major political figure and an emblematic figure of women's rights in France, Simone Veil led historic struggles, notably the legalization of voluntary termination of pregnancy in 1974.

Her journey became a source of inspiration for generations of women.

Choosing the first name Simone was a way to pay tribute to this inner strength, to this ability to transform trials into commitments. But also to evoke all the "Simones" around us: our mothers, our grandmothers, our friends, those discreet but essential women who mark our lives.

Inspiring women who shape our history

Women's history is made of struggles, progress, and courage.

Some figures have become universal. Simone Veil is one of them, but she is not the only one. All over the world, women have contributed to changing mentalities, defending equality, and opening new perspectives.

In everyday life too, role models exist:
a mother who transmits her values, a friend who encourages, a colleague who dares to undertake, a sister who inspires with her strength.

These women shape our view of the world.

At Simone à Bordeaux, this idea is at the heart of our philosophy: recognizing the power of individual stories and the beauty of unique journeys.

Bordeaux, a lifestyle and an anchor

The second word in the brand, "à Bordeaux", is not just a geographical indication.

It evokes a lifestyle, a softness, a particular light.

Bordeaux represents roots, daily inspiration, and that French way of appreciating the small moments of life.

Associating "Simone" and "Bordeaux" is ultimately bringing together two essential dimensions: the strength of women and the beauty of everyday life.

March 8th: a day to remember and continue

International Women's Day is not just a symbolic date.

It reminds us of the progress made, but also of what still remains to be achieved.

It invites us to highlight inspiring journeys, to celebrate women's successes, and to encourage solidarity among women.

At Simone à Bordeaux, this day is an opportunity to thank all those who make the brand live: customers, partners, collaborators, and resellers.

Because behind every story, there is always one woman who inspires another.

Celebrating the strength of women, every day

Ultimately, March 8th is perhaps above all a reminder.

A reminder that women have always been builders, pioneers, creators, and inspirers.

Simone à Bordeaux was born from this energy, from this conviction that trials can become strengths and that every woman carries a unique story within her.

Today, as yesterday, we continue to celebrate those who inspire.

And perhaps, deep down, we all have a Simone in our lives.
