These purposes are:

Allowing you to purchase products

We collect and use your personal data to enable us to fulfill orders for products we offer via the Site. In particular, this data is processed to:

Securing the Site

We ensure the security of your personal data, as well as third parties’ personal data, against any fraudulent access, use or disclosure by implementing enhanced data protection through appropriate physical and logical technical security measures to guarantee the integrity of your data and its confidential and secure processing.

However, please note that no security system is infallible and we cannot guarantee that your information will be completely secure.

The main legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest.

Complying with our legal and regulatory obligations

In operating the Site, we are subject to various legal and regulatory obligations involving the retention of your personal data. This data may also be used in operations to identify the authors of content that is unlawful.

RECIPIENTS OF THE PERSONAL DATA PROCESSED

We process your personal data exclusively for the purposes described in this Policy.

To that end, we may call upon trusted partners acting as processors so that we can provide all of the services offered on the Site and, in particular:

  • more generally when using the Site, to host your data, send you emails, assist you in using the Site or help us carry out statistical analyses.

In all cases, these third parties are contractually prohibited from using the personal data we transmit to them for any purpose other than that for which they were engaged, and they are required to maintain the security and confidentiality of your information with protection equal to or greater than that which we implement.

We will only disclose your personal data without prior notice:

  • if required by applicable regulations,

  • if such disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law or regulation, legal proceedings and/or an administrative or judicial order;

  • to protect and defend our rights or property or those of our partners;

  • more generally, to act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Site or third parties.

RETENTION PERIOD FOR YOUR DATA

We retain your personal data only for the period necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless the law requires your personal data to be retained otherwise.

For example, we retain data provided when placing your order and/or in your customer account for a period of three (3) years from the last transaction, unless the law requires certain data to be retained for a shorter period. Your bank details are not retained beyond the time necessary to complete the transaction unless you have given us your prior consent to do so.

TRANSFER OF YOUR DATA OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN UNION

In providing the services and operating the Site, we may transfer your personal data to countries outside the European Union that have not been the subject of an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

In such cases, we ensure that the transfer is carried out under conditions compliant with applicable regulations by taking all appropriate measures and under legal, technical and operational safeguards to ensure the confidentiality and security of this data.

YOUR RIGHTS AND HOW TO EXERCISE THEM

In accordance with applicable regulations, you have the right of access, objection, rectification and erasure of your personal data, as well as the right to restriction of processing, portability, and to define instructions regarding your data in the event of death, subject to legal and regulatory obligations requiring us to retain it. Exercising some of these rights may prevent us from providing access to the Site and/or from using all or part of the services offered there.

You can exercise these rights by sending us an email at the following address: serviceclient@simoneabordeaux.com or a message via the “Contact us” section of the Site and by providing proof of your identity.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL), the supervisory authority responsible for ensuring compliance with personal data obligations.

Finally, we may be required to disclose your personal data, under the conditions provided by law, to a duly authorized judicial or administrative authority.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may, at any time and from time to time, make changes to this Privacy Policy, in particular because we are developing our services and/or because applicable regulations require us to do so: these changes will then apply to personal data collected after the effective date indicated in the Privacy Policy, and we will inform you via a notice on the Site or by any other means.

In any event, we recommend that you regularly consult this Privacy Policy to obtain the latest information on our privacy practices.

This data helps us improve the Site and provide a better user experience. Specifically, the system is strictly limited to audience measurement on the Site for the exclusive use of the publisher and falls within the scope specified by Article 5 of the CNIL guidelines on cookies and other trackers. However, other audience measurement offerings do not fall within the scope of cookies exempt from consent. Consent will therefore be required for these cookies prior to any browsing on the site.

To be completed where appropriate, depending on other cookies used by JANE and in particular in the event of the use of “advertising” cookies.

Please note that the use of audience measurement cookies that does not fall within the scope specified by Article 5 of the guidelines on cookies and other trackers requires user consent.

In such cases, continuing to browse the site cannot be considered valid consent to the placement of cookies.

Operators must also be able to demonstrate that consent has indeed been obtained.
